2014 had it’s ups and downs but overall it was a good year. Coming into 2015 I wondered what my “resolutions” would be. This year I started to feel like yearly resolutions are a silly thing. Personally I can’t stick with them for all that long, as I’m sure it true for most people. Looking back I noticed a trend in 2014. I had been making little resolutions all the way along and sticking to them well. Seems when they’re integrated into your daily life and done little by little it takes the pressure off and they seem a little more manageable, a little more ‘every day’.
Tonight though a friend and fellow photographer helped me tackle a resolution I didn’t even know I wanted to make. Getting outside and enjoying this beautiful province. Sure I had been telling myself now and then that I needed to get out into nature, get more fresh air, connect with the outdoors, but I hadn’t really remembered what I was missing. It’s so much easier to just stay put and get sucked into home activities you enjoy or feel like you have to do. Life’s too short for that. I don’t want to look back on my life and say “I missed so much.”
Not any more. Not thanks to Gregory. Friend, photog, and all around good guy.
